LPET has one commitment derived from its Corporate Vision: To make this world a more sustainable place. To achieve this, we constantly seek the integration of 100% recycled raw materials into our food grade PET sheet through selected suppliers, and we invite to our customers to be part of the PET Circular Economy.

It is important to understand the concept of Circular Economy. The Circular Economy is a strategy that aims to reduce both the entry of virgin raw materials and waste production, closing the economic and ecological resources´ “loops” or flows1. In other words, it basically means that raw materials, products, and natural resources are kept as long as possible in the economy, reducing waste generation.

The Circular Economy concept takes its inspiration from nature, where waste concept does not exist – all that it generates is an input or food for another organism in a closed flow. Taking this natural cycle as basis, the Circular Economy breaks with the Economy linear schemes, this is how it manages to extend products useful life and reduces the environmental impact that is generated. It is also a way to improve the available resources competitiveness and efficiency2.

At LPET, we are pride ourselves about our not linear economic model in the PET industry, otherwise, our product would be discarded once transformed and used as thermoformed packaging. We are part of the “PET Circular Economy” and under this premise, we can produce a 100% recycled-origin food-grade PET sheet using as raw material, the ground and washed PET bottle flakes provided by carefully selected suppliers, and including in our extrusion process, the Post-Industrial Recycled ground-scrap PET sheet derived from the trim press from our clients´ thermoforming process.

Thanks to this Circular Economy model, we extend the PET useful life up to 20 times, taking advantage of its mechanical properties to transform it back into high-quality, food-grade raw material. We achieve the food grade of our PET sheet with 100% recycled origin derived from the rigorous processes established in the international food safety certifications that we have (FSSC 22000 V. 5.1 and FDA).

At LPET we are not only committed to produce a high-quality product, but the certainty we provide in our actively participation to making this world a more sustainable place, redefining the future generations lives.

We invite you to be part of this great adventure, contact us to learn more about our high-quality products made from 100% recycled raw materials. At LPET, we are sustainability made PET sheet!
